About Michael Pollowitz, DDS

As a graduate of one of the top dental schools in the country, Georgetown University School of Dentistry, Dr. Pollowitz has become widely known in the DC metro area as one of the top providers of cosmetic and restorative dentistry via his and his wife’s dental practice, The Washington Center for Cosmetic Dentistry Family Dentistry. Dr. Pollowitz possesses extraordinary insight and clinical skills, particularly in the areas of reconstructive, cosmetic, and general dentistry that have gained him multiple awards throughout the county and set him apart from most dentists. His knowledge, expertise, attention to detail, and his love and caring for his patients have given him the honor of being selected as one of Washington’s Top Dentists for the last 25 years. Checkbook Magazine has also awarded him as one of Washington’s Top-Rated Dentists as well the Consumers Research Council of America’s (CRCA) National Award as the Top-Rated Dentist for Advanced Cosmetic Dentistry. He is dedicated to providing high-quality dental care to patients with his signature compassionate, caring, and understanding style. He has been asked and given lectures on a variety of topics and has been featured on radio and TV shows for his expertise in cosmetic and general dentistry. Dentistry is constantly evolving, only by continuing to seek more knowledge can I continue to provide the best and most advanced care for my patients, says Dr. Pollowitz, who has completed over a 1,000 hours of continuing education in all phases of dentistry with a focus on restorative, cosmetic and implant dentistry. Not only is an education in the field of dentistry paramount for the physician, but it needs to be shared and carried on by the support staff as well. He is not only active in organized dentistry and continuing education but is currently serving as an elected board member for three different prestigious organizations and will be serving as President for the DC Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity. Dr. Pollowitz resides with his wife, Dr. Sharon Brown (the other dentist in practice) in Bethesda, and they have three children, Andrew, who is completing his Masters in Sports Management, Ryan, a senior at the University of Miami and Michelle, a junior at Georgetown Day School. Dr. Pollowitz is an avid swimmer, bicyclist, and loves tennis, racquetball, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
