Michael “Dr. Mike” Maroon, DMD, FACE, FAGD has been changing people’s lives for over 25 years. He is an expert Cosmetic Dentist in Connecticut with a complete understanding of Functional Esthetic Dentistry and restoring smiles with the latest technology and finest materials that dentistry has to offer in a comfortable, caring, fun environment. Originally from Methuen, Massachusetts, Dr. Mike received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1982 from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 1986 from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. Since then, he has dedicated his life to staying on the leading edge of dentistry and has received numerous awards for this commitment to excellence. He has earned Fellowships in the Academy of Comprehensive Esthetics, the Academy of General Dentistry, the International Academy of Dental/Facial Esthetics, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and a Master in the International Academy of Implant Prosthodontics. Dr. Mike has trained with some of the most recognized dentists in the world and has received advanced training in Functional Esthetic Dentistry from the Center for Advanced Dental Education in St. Petersburg, Florida and the Seattle Institute for Advanced Dental Studies in Seattle, Washington. Dr. Mike has also received advanced training in Functional Orthodontics and utilizes the knowledge he has obtained to provide you with the best that dentistry has to offer! He has also received Advanced Aesthetic Certification and Advanced Full-Mouth Restoration Certification from the Pacific Aesthetic Continuum in San Francisco, California and Master Aesthetic Certification from the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies in Las Vegas, Nevada and has been an instructor at both programs. In addition, Dr. Mike has received advanced training in Dental Implantology by completing the maxicourse in implant dentistry from the Brookdale Hospital & New York University School of Dentistry in New York, New York. He is a member of many prominent national, state & local dental organizations including the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Mike has published articles in several major dental journals on clinical dentistry, philosophy & practice management, has lectured all over the world, and is a guest lecturer & clinician at the Pacific Aesthetic Continuum at the University of the Pacific in San Francisco, California. He is the editor & publisher of The Dental Leader Newsletter which is a bi-monthly newsletter for the dental profession that has subscribers from all over the world and is a co-founder of the Academy of Comprehensive Esthetics, a professional dental organization that hosts dental seminars that introduces new techniques and materials to dentists and their teams bi-annually at international locations. Dr. Mike is also the host of Video Team Training, a monthly program that reaches thousands of dental professionals around the world. This gives him the opportunity to meet and interview some of dentistry’s leaders for personal and professional development.
