About Michael C. Maksim, DDS
I started writing dental articles over fifteen years ago at the suggestion of one of my patients. I felt dentistry was misunderstood by the general public. This misunderstanding has led many people to avoid the dentist. Dentistry can be confusing because of the wide variety of treatment approaches that are presented to patients. This confusion, coupled with the fear of pain that many people associate with dental treatment, prevents many people from seeking dental care. Michael Maksim, DDS, a southern California native practicing general dentistry in Vista, California since 1988. A graduate from the University of Southern California in 1987, with a special interest in dental implants, and cosmetic dentistry. His first implant case dates back to 1989, which is still in function today. Dr Maksim is board Certified in Oral Conscious Sedation, providing a safe, and comfortable atmosphere for his fearful patients. Recognizing that his patients are unique individuals who have placed a great deal of trust in him and his team. Skill and compassion go hand in hand when providing exceptional patient care. Outside the office Dr. Maksim enjoys spending time being active with his family. His downtime includes reading, and gardening.
