Since graduating among the top of his class from the prestigious Medical College of Virginia/VCU School of Dentistry, Dr. Catoggio has trained under the tutelage of Dr. W. Baxter Perkinson Jr., a renowned practitioner in the fields of implantology, smile design, and full mouth rehabilitation. With a keen eye for the aesthetic, Dr. Catoggio offers a full range of services for those looking for comprehensive dental treatment. Dr. Catoggio is committed to perfecting the art of exceptional dentistry. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association and Richmond Dental Society. By staying current on the latest technology and advances in dentistry, Dr. Catoggio has dedicated himself to serving patients with the highest level of care available. Dr. Catoggio and his wife Jessica live in the Richmond area with their son Braden and daughter Linley. He is an avid cyclist, triathlete and outdoor enthusiast. Dr. Catoggio completed the Misch Surgical program where he received his completion certificate from the Misch International Implant Institute. The Misch faculty nominated Dr. Catoggio after completing the surgical training programs. The requirements reviewed the major diagnostic and surgical steps involved to restore each patient to proper function and aesthetics. Dr. Catoggio also was required to take an extensive written examination covering the diagnostic, surgical, aspects of modern implant dentistry. The Misch International Implant Institute was developed in 1984 by Dr. Carl E. Misch to help set and evaluate the standard of care of implant dentistry using a hands-on training approach. The institute’s unique approach to provide the most progressive and documented information and extensive hands-on experience has awarded its graduates with experiences they will use throughout their careers. The Misch International Implant Institute has trained more than 2500 doctors in a hands-on yearly forum of education in surgical and prosthetic dentistry.
