About Michael A. Bianchi, DDS
Dr. Bianchi obtained his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Chemistry from Boston College, and subsequently attended dental school at SUNY Buffalo where he received the D.D.S. degree. Additionally, he is the Department Chairman and Associate Professor of Surgery at Drexel University College of Medicine/Hahnemann Hospital in the bianchi Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is Associate Professor of Pediatrics in the Department of Dentistry at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children. Dr. Bianchi is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and also the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology. He completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency training program at The Hospital of The University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Bianchi is the Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. His special clinical interests include craniofacial, cleft lip / cleft palate and reconstructive surgery as well as dental implants. Dr. Bianchi has been interviewed and featured on local, national, and international news programs for a surgery on a child, performed at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, utilizing a computer-generated 3D skull model to plan her craniofacial reconstructive surgery. Dr. Bianchi is married, has three children and enjoys coaching soccer in his spare time.
