About Melissa Helms-Kakouras, DDS
Dr. Melissa Kakouras was born and raised in Charlotte, NC. She graduated from Piedmont High School in 1995. After graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in Psychology, she attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's School of Dentistry where she earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Dr. Kakouras strives to maintain the highest standard of care through continued education in dentistry and involvement in the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Association and the Charlotte Dental Society. She is also committed to earning her Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry which requires 500 additional hours of continued education training. Dr. Kakouras resides in Charlotte, NC with her husband, Dr. Tommy Kakouras. She enjoys traveling, reading, sports and is an active member of her church.
