About Maya L. Ponte, MD
Dr. Ponte is American Board of Dermatology Certified. She completed her MD, Phd, and Residency in Dermatology at the University of California, San Francisco. Her Internship in Internal Medicine took place at the Kaiser Permanente, San Francisco. Dr. Ponte has participated in many fellowships, including: the NIH Pathways to Careers in Clinical and Translational Research Short Term Research Fellowship, the NIH DeWitt Stetten Memorial Fellowship in the History of Medicine, the University of California Institute for the study of Global Conflict and Cooperation Dissertation Fellowship, and the UC Presidential Fellowship for the Study of Humanities and Social Sciences.
