Maxim Victor Skormin, DDS has been practicing dentistry for over 20 years. He persued undergraduate studies in computer science at the Polytechnic Institute in Almaty, Kazakhstan, USSR. He then attended Broome Community College in Binghamton, New York, for electrical engineering and biological and chemical science, finishing in 1991. Dr. Skormin graduated from one of the top dental schools in the country, the School of Dental Medicine, SUNY, at Buffalo, NY, earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1995. Following in the footsteps of his ancestors, among whom are a prominent heart surgeon, a pediatric doctor, and a founder of an oral pathology university in St. Petersburg, Dr. Skormin has treated over 15,000 patients for every aspect of general and cosmetic dentistry, with emphasis in cosmetic crowns and bridges, dental implants, and Invisalign® braces. Dr. Skormin has received advanced training in implant placement and site development from the NOVA School of Dental Medicine in Florida. He has also received training in mini-implants under Dr. Todd Shatkin at the Mini Implant Center of America in Amherst, New York. He is a certified provider of Invisalign® and Lumineers®, and a member of the American Dental Association.
