About Maureen T. Cliffel, DO
Dr. Maureen Cliffel is a board certified Dermatologist, bringing 10 years of experience and the latest in modern skin care and comprehensive vein solutions for all ages. As of January, 2020 Dr. Cliffel is exclusively seeing patients in her Royal Oak location. She welcomes patients from all areas including Royal Oak, Ferndale, Brighton, Howell, Milford, and across Oakland, Wayne, Macomb, and Livingston county. Dr. Cliffel is double board certified in both Dermatology and Venous and Lymphatic medicine, which is the treatment of varicose veins and venous diseases. Dr. Cliffel is a Michigan native who originally grew up in Rochester Hills. She attended Albion College and Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in Phoenix, Arizona. She completed both her traditional internship and her dermatology residency through Michigan State University at McClaren Oakland Hospital, formerly Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital (POH). She currently serves as an attending physician through the Beaumont Dermatology Residency program. She is also an Associate Clinical Professor at Michigan State University. Dr. Cliffel has been published professionally in the dermatology journal CUTIS. Since 2003 she has actively participated in 10 international medical missions in both Guatemala and Honduras and provided health care for well over 1000 patients. Dr. Cliffel specializes in both general and cosmetic dermatology, dermatologic surgery and the treatment of varicose veins. She has developed a professional interest in multiple skin conditions including psoriasis and the treatment and prevention of skin cancer. She enjoys treating her patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics and Dr. Cliffel looks forward to the opportunity of continuing to serve both her patients and community.
