About Mark A. Penshorn, DDS

I grew up near Schertz on my family’s ranch, and graduated from Samuel Clemens High School and Texas A&M University. I have practiced dentistry in the Greater Schertz area since graduating from the UT Dental School in San Antonio in 1982. I am now treating many of my childhood friends and teachers, as well as the children of patients that I have known since they were children! I have watched this corner of Texas grow and change all of my life. My approach to dentistry is to treat every patient in the way I would want to be treated. Therefore, I take time to review your overall health history and concerns, I listen to your input about your dental condition, and I don’t rush you through. We use high-quality materials here that will last a long time while still maintaining a good appearance even after many years. If you need extensive care, we will work through the plan for that together and select priorities of care and pace of treatment that you are comfortable with and can afford. I am a member in good standing of the San Antonio District Dental Society, the Texas Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. I attend continuing education courses throughout the year to stay informed of the latest developments in dentistry. In my spare time I enjoy being with my wife and three sons, ranching and exploring the outdoors, and participating in the community. We also enjoy anything that takes place in the Colorado Rockies or the National Parks. My favorite leisure activity is building mechanical things with my sons.
