About Marina Pizarro, MD
Dr. Marina Pizarro is the first female hair transplant surgeon ever in the industry and belongs to the elite group of surgeons who have preformed over 50,000 procedures in her career. She began her medical career by graduating with a medical degree from Ponce School of Medicine in Puerto Rico. After completing her residency in Orlando, Florida, Dr. Pizarro was introduced to world renowned hair transplant surgeon Constantine Chambers, who, along with Dr. Pizarro, built one of the largest hair restoration practices of its time. After five years of intense one-on-one training performing thousands of procedures and traveling around the world participating in hair restoration conventions, Dr. Pizarro opened her own practice in 1994 in Orlando and Jacksonville, specializing exclusively in hair restoration for men and women. After 30 years in the industry, Dr. Pizarro has built a thriving practice with hair loss clinics located in Orlando and Jacksonville, Florida. There are several factors that set her apart from so many other doctors in the hair transplant industry. Her extreme attention to detail and artistic style keeps her involved in every aspect of a patient’s procedure. Unlike many doctors who only take part in the harvesting of donor hair and the creation of graft sites, Dr. Pizarro takes part in these two critical steps of the procedure, but is also directly involved in harvesting micro follicular units, along with their placements. Many “mill style” organizations limit their surgeons’ involvement during procedures and other independent doctors use the latest “gadget” method of attracting patients, Dr. Pizarro uses the tried and true method of hair restoration surgery coupled with the latest techniques in the hair transplant industry to deliver world class results. Adding to her high level of patient service and artistic skill is her warm and kind nature. Dr. Pizarro is a member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery.
