I am Lindsay Platt, founder and esthetician of Dharma Skin Spa. My business venture started in January 2009 and has been my dream come true ever since. The ability to make a living out of what I love to do and in my very own hometown couldn't make me happier. My intention is to create a space that is warm and inviting to everyone that walks through my door and to always offer a very special and personalized treatment. I want to have a skin care service that is as effective internally as well as externally. I hope that you find all that you are looking for and your visit makes a lasting difference. I was first introduced to essential oils and aromatherapy in 1998 and was instantly intrigued. I wanted to learn as much as possible about these subjects and incorporate them into my lifestyle, due to a longtime interest in alternative treatments to medicine. When I began studying esthetics in 2002, I found these various pursuits very complementary. Now, I enjoy working with clients one-on-one to help establish effective and personalized skin care routines that can be easily maintained through home care, which is crucial for maintaining healthy skin. I work regularly with Source Vital, a natural skin care line beneficial for all skin types; easy to use and affordable, their products are based in seaweeds and essential oils. I had the pleasure and opportunity to work with Source Vital and the College of Holistic Studies, Sanctuary Spa d'Sante and Dot Dot Salon, gaining one-of-a-kind experience and benefiting from the knowledge of my colleagues. During this time, I acquired Certificates of Achievement in Holistic Skin Care, Holistic Therapies, Holistic Body Care, Skin Resurfacing Techniques, Advanced Facial Massage Technique, and Nutrition. I also traveled to ISPA Conventions in Dallas and California for advanced industry training and networking. I am dedicated to the continuation of my skin care education and believe that it is possible to achieve results without harming the skin or the environment. I am committed to helping anyone interested in improving the way they treat their skin and working with their unique skin care needs.
