About Leo J. Sonnier, DDS
Dr. Sonnier is a native Texan (Beaumont). He graduated from Texas A& M University in 1979. In 1983, he graduated from the University of Texas Dental School (Houston). Dr Sonnier has practiced at his current location, in Austin, since 1984. Over the past 34 years, Dr. Sonnier has accumulated over 3000 hours of post-graduate continuing education. He obtained his Fellowship (FAGD) in the Academy of General Dentistry in 1991. Dr. Sonnier has trained all over the United States, including the L.D. Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne Florida and the Kois Center in Seattle Washington. He is a Fellow in the AGD and a member of the ADA,TDA, Capital Area Dental Society, Texas AGD, and the Central Texas chapter of the AGD. He is actively involved with other dentists in local study clubs in Austin and serves as a mentor at the Kois Center, in Seattle . Dr. Sonnier lives in Austin with his wife and three children. He is an active member of Austin Ridge Bible Church. His hobbies include tennis and reading.
