About Laurie A. Sherman, DDS
Orginally from East Jordan, Dr. Sherman pursued undergraduate studies at both the University of Michigan and Central Michigan University. After graduating with her Doctor of Dental Science degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry, Dr. Sherman immediately returned home to Northern Michigan where she has been in private practice since 1993. Since then, Dr. Sherman has also attended the Engel Institute, where she has had extensive training in dental implants. While Dr. Sherman enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, she has a special interest in both dental implants and TMJ diagnosis and therapy. Dr. Sherman is an alumni of the Dawson Academy and the Piper Education and Research Center. Dr. Kooistra and Dr. Sherman are married and the proud parents of two daughters, Elizabeth and Christina. Outside of work, you may fine Dr. Kooistra spending time with his girls or snowmobiling. Dr. Sherman cherishes family time and relaxing with her horses. Both Dr. Sherman and Dr. Kooistra are committed to providing a combination of the best state-of-the-art dentistry and tried-and-true traditional methods with which their patients are comfortable.
