About Laurence Mazin, DDS
Dr. Mazin is originally from New York City, and earned his D.D.S. degree in 1983 from the Georgetown University School of Dentistry. He practiced in Maryland and New York before moving to Pennsylvania, opening a private dental practice in Glenside in 1992. The office moved to the Elkins Park Square complex in May 2006. He has experience in all phases of general dentistry, including cosmetic, preventive, root canals (endodontics), restorative (fillings), and crown and bridge therapy. In 1997 lasers were first approved for use to treat both hard and soft tissues, making them useful for the preparation of teeth for filling cavities, greatly reducing patient discomfort. Dr. Mazin was the first dentist in this area to use lasers for this purpose, having done so in 1997. Any of his patients can tell you Dr. Mazin enjoys listening to music. He also enjoys movies, any activity involving guitars and of course relaxing.
