About Lauren Rainey, DDS
Doctor Lauren Yasuda Rainey received her bachelor’s degree from Wellesley College and then pursued her dental degree and graduated with high honors from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco. During dental school, she served on the school Ethics Committee and was recognized by the San Francisco Dental Society for Excellence in Ethical Conduct. Dr. Rainey then completed a general practice residency with a focus on hospital-based dentistry at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine / Tufts Medical Center in Boston. At Tufts, she became skilled in managing dental emergencies, treating medically compromised patients and persons with special needs. Upon moving back to the Bay Area, Dr. Rainey began teaching at her alma mater – the Dugoni School of Dentistry. She loves the collaborative approach of education that the university embraces and finds joy in watching dental students find their passions within dentistry. Teaching strengthens her ability to communicate with patients and keeps her up-to-date on the ever-evolving field of dentistry. Her practice philosophy highlights oral health as an integral part of overall health.
