About Lauren Crawford, MD
Dr. Lauren Crawford is a native born Texan thrilled to return to her home state and start her new practice in plastic surgery. She attended medical school at UT San Antonio finishing with honors as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Society. She was then accepted into a competitive integrated plastic surgery residency at University of Missouri where she had exceptional training in all aspects of reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgery. Her research focused in areas of breast surgery, fat grafting, and nerve regeneration. Dr. Crawford is now proud to have joined Austin Plastic Surgery Institute and plans to offer a wide variety of plastic surgery procedures. Although she has adopted an emphasis on all breast surgery including breast reconstruction, augmentations, lifts, and reductions, she also has continuing interest in providing care in hand surgery, general reconstructive procedures, and in all facets of cosmetic surgery. Her specific skills in hand surgery include nerve decompression such as carpal tunnel release, treatment of arthritis, care of dupuytrens contracture and other common acquired anomalies of the hand, and treatment of hand trauma. She thoroughly enjoys all aspects of cosmetic surgery including face lift, cervicoplasty or neck lift, brow lift, blepharoplasty or eyelid lift, liposuction, abdominoplasty, breast surgeries, otoplasty, chin augmentation, and rhinoplasty.
