About Laura Gowen, MD
Dr. Laura Gowen completed her plastic surgery residency at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C., considered one of the elite training programs for plastic surgeons in the country. She was then accepted into the prestigious Breast Reconstruction and Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. Prior to this, she earned her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine, where she was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, graduating summa cum laude and first in her class. Dr. Gowen also graduated magna cum laude from Bucknell University, and is originally from the Philadelphia area.
