About Latanya T. Benjamin, MD
Dr. Benjamin is nationally recognized as an expert in pediatric laser and surgery, acne, atopic dermatitis (eczema) and sun safety with media coverage in NY Times, LA Times, Parents, Huffington post, USA Today and The Wall Street Journal. She holds many honorary positions including a position on the Society of Pediatric Dermatology's Executive Committee and SPD Vice President of Membership and Practice Management. Dr. Benjamin is the recipient of the inaugural Women’s Dermatologic Society (WDS) Volunteer of the Year award and currently sits on the WDS Board of Directors. She has co-authored several medical textbooks, including Therapy in Pediatric Dermatology: Management of Pediatric Skin Disease and the recently published Pediatric Dermatologic Surgery. She is a mother and advocates for women and children. Dr. Benjamin is passionate about providing healing and encouraging self worth, especially in young children with visible hair, nail and skin disorders. She celebrates diversity in medicine and enjoys teaching the next generation of doctors. Dr. Benjamin serves on multiple medical advisory boards and is a consultant for select industry.
