About Larissa K. Ghadiali, MD
Dr. Larissa K. Ghadiali received her medical degree from New York Medical College. She then performed an internship in internal medicine at Saint Luke’s Roosevelt Medical Center in New York. She returned to New York Medical College to complete a three-year ophthalmology residency program where she served as chief resident. For the final step of her training, she completed a two-year combined fellowship in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery and neuro-ophthalmology at the Edward S. Harkness Eye Institute at Columbia University Medical Center in New York. Dr. Ghadiali continues to serve as assistant professor of ophthalmology at Loyola University Medical Center, where she continues to instruct medical students and residents in the classroom, clinic, and operating room at the Edward Hines, Jr. VA hospital. Dr. Ghadiali is board certified in ophthalmology and practices oculoplastic surgery and comprehensive ophthalmology. Her areas of expertise include cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the eyelids, Botox and hyaluronic acid fillers, and management of dry and allergic eye disease. The surgeries she performs range from repairing droopy eyelids to reconstructing the eyelids after skin tumor excisions. She has published articles in many leading peer-reviewed academic journals including Ophthalmology, Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Journal of Glaucoma, Documenta Ophthalmologica, Retinal Cases and Brief Reports, and Case Reports in Ophthalmological Medicine. She has presented her research at several national and international conferences and has recently authored multiple book chapters on oculoplastic surgery. In her free time, Dr. Ghadiali enjoys spending time with her two young children and her husband.
