Kristen Whiting, owner and operator of Silk Body Waxing Studio, is an exceptionally gifted esthetician, who specializies in men's and women's head-to-toe body waxing. She was formally educated at Philadelphia's premiere cosmetology school, Jean Madeline Aveda Institute and graduated at the top of her Esthetics class, in 2008. While in school, Kristen found her niche in waxing, and has since excelled in a wide range of waxing techniques and esthetic topiary design. She continues her education by regularly attending classes and trade shows, keeping herself abreast of the latest waxing methods, trends and technologies. Through her studies and practice, Kristen has gained a wealth of industry knowledge, and currently offers skin care and waxing consultation seminars; and she is also quickly becoming regarded, around the Philadelphia area, for her near-painless waxing technique, on even the most sensitive areas. Kristen is quite knowledgable, gentle and always accessible for advice and consultations regarding skin care and waxing. Lastly, she gives clients the option of removal methods, depending on their level of tolerance; she can render rapid hair removal at a swift pace or ease into it section by section. What she uses: a botanical, creme-based soft/strip wax and a gentle, non-polymer stripless, elastic wax. Silk is a single-dip salon, strongly enforcing a NO double-dipping policy.
