About Kia Bradshaw, Aesthetician Specialist
Kia has always loved makeup and nail polish as a child. After attending Lincoln University and working in the corporate world, her desire to explore her creativity became more apparent. Kia began her career in the beauty industry in 2006 where she completed her certification in Makeup Artistry from Brio Academy of Cosmetology and soon after worked at major make-up retail stores like Bare Minerals and Sephora and eventually moved on to booking private events like weddings and photo shoots. After discovering that many women were simply concealing their skincare issues with makeup, rather than resolving them, she became more interested in skincare. She combined her passion for makeup artistry and skincare and completed her certification in Esthetics from Brio Academy of Cosmetology in 2011. There, she studied facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, body treatments, waxing and manicure/pedicure. It was shortly thereafter, Kia left the corporate world to pursue esthetics full-time. She later became the director of a local beauty group where she facilitated mobile spa events including mini facials, manicures, pedicures, waxing, and makeup application. She then worked for a popular waxing facility where she focused only on waxing and became well known for her gentle touch and painless, yet thorough Brazilian waxing techniques.
