About Joy D. Wisniewski, MD
Dr. Joy Wisniewski is a board certified Dermatologist who grew up in North County San Diego and received her honors Bachelor of Science degree at UCLA. While at UCLA, she worked in a melanoma lab and became interested in dermatology. She then spent eight years in New Orleans, Louisiana, earning her Medical Degree and continued her training at Tulane University, School of Medicine as an Internal Medicine Intern and then a Dermatology Resident. As a medical student, she was at the top of her medical school class and was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society along with receiving the Gold Humanism in Medicine Award. In her last year of Dermatology Residency, she was chosen to serve as Chief Cosmetic Resident. She organized numerous trainings in Botulinum toxin injections and a variety of fillers and laser treatments. After residency, Dr. Wisniewski worked at a private dermatology practice in San Diego until 2016. Dr. Wisniewski is additionally a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the Women’s Dermatologic Society. She enjoys all facets of dermatology, with special interests in Skin Cancer, Vulvar Dermatology, and Cosmetic Dermatology. Outside of work, Dr. Wisniewski enjoys yoga, cooking, and spending time with her husband and kids. She speaks Spanish.
