About Joseph J. Capista, DDS
A native of Delaware County, “Dr. Joe” graduated from Bonner High School in 1968. He received his BS in Biology from LaSalle University and went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Temple University School of Dentistry in 1976. He completed a general practice residency at the Philadelphia General Hospital. Dr. Capista began practicing in Springfield and eventually purchased the practice when the senior dentist retired. The practice grew steadily over the years, based on Dr. Joe’s reputation for high-quality dental care and focus on patient comfort and satisfaction. In 2000, the practice moved to its present location in Broomall and became Williamsburg Dental. As a respected authority on aesthetic dentistry, Dr. Capista conducts seminars throughout the region on the latest cosmetic and restorative techniques. He has completed training at the renowned Las Vegas Institute (LVI) of Advanced Dental Studies and is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), the Pennsylvania Dental Association and the Chester/Delaware County Dental Association. In the Delaware County area, Dr. Joe is known for his tireless efforts to give back to the community. He contributes countless hours of pro-bono training seminars on the topic of success in life and business for non-profit organizations such as rotary clubs, chambers of commerce, universities, high schools, youth groups, and other local dental practices. Dr. Capista is also very active in his church. He is a member of the Board of Directors and is on various committees at the Malvern Retreat House. His generosity and community spirit were recognized and honored with the Small Business Person of the Year Award from the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce in 2008. Dr. Capista resides in Pennsylvania with his wife of over 40 years, Anne. He is an avid runner and enjoys working out in the gym, as well as traveling abroad. Whether consulting with a patient, speaking on the platform, consulting with a business client, or participating in one of his favorite pastimes, Joe Capista is recognized for his intense passion, love of life, and ability to influence others in an incredibly positive and memorable way.
