About Jonathan I. Nathan, MD

Dr. Jonathan Nathan is a fully trained plastic surgeon with over 10 years of rigorous training. He has specialized training in Oculoplastic Surgery and Facial Aesthetic Surgery as well as in Reconstructive and Aesthetic Breast Surgery. Dr. Nathan was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. He completed his Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Training at Loyola University in Maywood, Illinois, his General Surgery Training at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas where he also completed his medical and business school education. Prior to medical school, he completed his undergraduate studies at Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas, Texas. The culmination of these efforts, led Dr. Nathan to pursue two additional highly sought fellowships where he spent additional time honing his skills with world renowned plastic surgeons. He completed one fellowship in Reconstructive and Aesthetic Breast Surgery with Dennis Hammond, MD in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He then went on to complete an additional fellowship in Oculoplastic Surgery and Facial Aesthetic Surgery with Mark Codner, MD in Atlanta, Georgia. In addition to his outstanding credentials, Dr. Nathan has received many honors and awards for his excellence in academics as well as having a multitude of publications in journals and book chapters, and podium presentations at national and local meetings. He is a candidate member of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS), the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), and the Illinois Society of Plastic Surgeons (ISPS). Dr. Nathan enjoys a full spectrum practice that includes aesthetic surgery of the face, breast, body, and cancer reconstruction after removal of skin cancer as well as breast cancer reconstruction.
