About John H. Upton, DDS

For over 25 years, Dr. John Upton has provided advanced, personalized dentistry for thousands of smiling faces in the Valley of the Sun. His commitment to providing lifelong healthy and beautiful smiles through excellent dentistry sets him apart from other dentists. You can count on him for thorough, unhurried, pleasant appointments designed to make you feel comfortable and relaxed. Dr. Upton and his wife, Becky, are the parents of four adult children and the proud grandparents of ten (the youngest pictured above). In his spare time, Dr. Upton enjoys reading, movies, DIY projects, outdoor activities, watching our local sports teams, and spending time with family. Dr. Upton is a graduate of the Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas, having earned his bachelor’s degree from Northern Arizona University. He is a member of several national dental organizations including the American and Arizona Dental Associations, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Academy of Biomimetic Dentistry. As a lifelong learner and student of the science and art of dentistry, Dr. Upton has postgraduate training in implants, TMJ, oral sedation, laser therapy, orthodontics, full-mouth reconstruction and biomimetic dentistry. He is an alumnus of the L.D. Pankey Institute, the Foundation for Advanced Continuing Education, the Las Vegas Institute for Aesthetic Dentistry, and is one of a select group of Arizona dentists who have attained the level of Master of the Academy of General Dentistry.
