About John D. Papadopoulos, DDS

Hi, I’m Dr. John and I’m looking forward to meeting you! I’ve always felt my laid-back, no pressure demeanor will be the key to our success in creating a relaxing experience. I’ve been told one of my best assets in dentistry is my chair-side manner, so I hope we can establish a trustworthy relationship that will continue for years. I enjoy sharing stories with each and every one of my patients as new, exciting things happen throughout our lives. If you’re ever looking for me outside of the office, there’s a good chance I’m with my wife, Andrea, and our boys, James, Charlie, and Nicholas, trying out a new recipe or relaxing on a beach somewhere up north. At home, I enjoy cooking and I love to involve my boys with the process. Golf is one of my favorite outdoor pastimes, but with three boys under the age of seven at home, I don’t get out as much as I used to. I took ownership of the Schoolhouse Practice in 2011. I graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in 2008, and consider myself a leader in the exciting new wave of digital dentistry. I am proud to implement the latest, advanced techniques of CAD/CAM CEREC technology, diode lasers, digital impressions, digital radiographs, digital intra-oral cameras and implant dentistry. Our porcelain restorations are completely metal free and we are an amalgam free practice. We are no longer using controversial mercury based fillings, and now exclusively place light-cured resin composite fillings. My team members have been hand-selected and I strongly believe they are some of the best in our area. They welcome patients into our Schoolhouse Family with a warmth and caring that I am proud of. They go above and beyond to assist patients with the daunting tasks of understanding their insurance policies and their financial obligations like no other office I have ever seen. Our practice grows each and every year from word of mouth by our patients. We find that they attribute our warm, accommodating, easy-going atmosphere and our amazing, same-day CEREC process to why they love to come here. Every patient who experiences the CEREC process can’t help but tell a friend! Imagine designing and fabricating a crown with complete precision all in a single visit! This means no annoying temporaries, no awful mouthfuls of impression material, no endless adjustments, and the patient walking away with their new crown in place that very day. This is how revolutionary dentistry has become! I would rival my decade of experience with the CEREC with just about any other dentist in the country. I’ve had the pleasure to mentor colleagues who have made the investment in CEREC technology, and have been asked to lecture on behalf of CEREC. It is a great honor when other dentists ask me to treat their own dental needs with our CEREC. They realize Schoolhouse Family Dentistry is a leader in this amazing time in digital dentistry and I take that as a huge compliment. In closing, I look forward to having the opportunity to share something I am very passionate about with you.
