About John P. Freeman, MD

Dr. Freeman is a highly trained, qualified and skilled oral and maxillofacial surgeon. But at our practice, that is secondary to Dr. Freeman’s welcoming demeanor, honest professionalism and compassionate manner. He believes that every client is a person before they are a patient, and he takes great care to treat every individual with the utmost respect and warmth. Our patients can always feel comfortable in Dr. Freeman’s expert hands. He is board-certified in oral and maxillofacial surgery with an emphasis on bone reconstruction using dental implants and facial cosmetic procedures. He earned a dental degree (DDS) with distinction from the University of Oklahoma, followed by his medical degree (MD) from world-renowned Vanderbilt University. He also completed his general surgery and maxillofacial surgery training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He received multiple awards during his medical training, including honors for excellence in both research and clinical work as well as a prestigious role as Chief Resident in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Freeman is a published scientific investigator with works included in top journals in the fields of biochemistry, dentistry, and oral and maxillofacial surgery as well as facial cosmetic surgery. He currently directs a large implant study group dedicated to improving the clinical quality and outcomes of dental implant surgeries. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and the International Academy of Dental Implantology. He is a member of numerous professional organizations internationally, nationally, statewide and locally, in areas ranging from dental implantology to anesthesiology. He is a licensed medical and dental healthcare provider in Texas and California. Alongside his award-winning private practice, he is currently affiliated with Methodist and Methodist West Hospitals serving the Houston and Katy, Texas area. Dr. Freeman is a proud husband and father. He is a dedicated member of the Katy, Texas community as both a healthcare provider and a citizen.
