Dr. Barras opened DENTISTRY by John Barras, DDS, LVIF in November 2004. Prior to that, Dr. Barras practiced with other well-respected offices in the Greater Houston Area. He earned his undergraduate degree from Southwest Texas State University and is a graduate of the University of Texas at Houston School of Dentistry. In 2010 alone, Dr. Barras took 104 hours of advanced training through the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. The Texas state requirement is only 12 hours. Because of his intense training and passion, Dr. Barras has developed a unique, critical eye for dental aesthetics. He is skilled in soft tissue recontouring and advanced laser procedures.
