About Jerry M. Strauss, DMD
Dr. Jerry Strauss has been maintaining oral health and designing beautiful smiles for his patients for over 20 years. A general dentist with extensive training in restorative, sedation, neuromuscular and cosmetic dentistry, he combines dental expertise, a gentle chairside manner, and the latest technology and materials to make his patients’ goals a reality. For me, practicing dentistry has always been about connecting with you. After all, you’re trusting me with your health. That’s quite a responsibility. That’s why I make sure that you know all about the status of your dental health and the procedure I’m performing, says Dr. Strauss. It’s imperative that we develop a trusting relationship because I need to work closely with you in order to take care of you and enhance your smile. That’s why I’m here. Dr. Strauss, a native of Middletown, New York, earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Syracuse University. He graduated from Boston University’s School of Graduate Dentistry with a combined master’s degree in nutritional biochemistry, the first in the school’s history to do so. Upon graduation, Dr. Strauss received the prestigious Academy of General Dentistry Award from the Boston University faculty. He completed a general practice residency at SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, New York, and remained on staff there for many years as a clinical instructor. Dr. Strauss began private practice dentistry in Binghamton, New York, where he remained until 1998. Dr. Strauss has trained with some of the world’s most prominent dental specialists. He is a graduate of the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, the world’s premier post-graduate dental program, and continues his post-graduate dental education there on a regular basis. Additionally, he is involved in many programs put on by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation. Dr. Strauss also insists that his entire staff pursues ongoing studies so that as a team, all are familiar with the latest techniques, equipment and materials available. Dr. Strauss is proud to have achieved Mastership Status in the Academy of General Dentistry by completing over 1,100 hours of continuing education. This is the highest honor of the Academy and is achieved by less than 1% of all dentists. He is also a member of the American Dental Association®, Association of Laser Dentistry, New Jersey Dental Society, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation and Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the dental honor society. Dr. Strauss has been married for 20 years and is a devoted father to his son and two daughters.
