Jerry E. Cooley, MD has been performing state of the art surgical hair restoration for over 25 years. Dr. Cooley is also a past Vice President and President of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS) and a diplomate of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery (ABHRS). He was the recipient of the ISHRS Platinum Follicle Award in recognition of his many scientific contributions to the field. Dr. Cooley is an in demand lecturer worldwide on the topics of hair restoration and regenerative medicine and has authored scientifically reviewed articles and textbook chapters regarding stem cell treatments, cloning, and surgical hair restoration techniques. Dr. Cooley continues to work with leading academic researchers and biotech companies in the hopes of finding ever stronger solutions for hair loss through various regenerative medicine approaches. His work has been featured in various media outlets including Wired Magazine, The New York Times, The New Yorker, GQ, Esquire Magazine and many others. Dr. Cooley has an impressive educational background as a board certified dermatologist. He graduated magna cum laude from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois and attended medical school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, garnering top honors. Dr. Cooley successfully finished his medical internship at Johns Hopkins Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland. He received comprehensive dermatological surgical training and hair transplant training as well. Dr. Cooley was chief resident during his dermatology residence at the University of Maryland.
