About Jennifer L. Helton, MD
Dr. Jennifer Helton has over 20 years of experience providing dermatological care of varied skin conditions to patients of all ages. She is double-boarded in Dermatology and Dermatopathology. This additional training gives her insight in to the clinical and histopathologic correlation of skin conditions and skin cancers. She has been voted one of Charlotte’s top doctors several times in the past by Charlotte Magazine. Dr. Helton graduated from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry. Honors included induction into Phi Beta Kappa. She received her Doctorate of Medicine from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. She completed her dermatology residency at the Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland Oregon. She received additional training by completing a dermatopathology fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. Dr. Helton also provides cosmetic procedures for her patients. Her dermatologic training provides her with the utmost understanding of the skin and the aging process. This make her the most qualified to provide cosmetic procedures for her patients. The procedures include Botox injections for frown lines, crow’s feet, and axillary hyperhidrosis (sweating under the arms). She performs filler injections (Juvederm Ultra, Juvederm Ultra Plus, Restylane) for nasolabial folds and perioral wrinkling.
