About Jason R. Oberhand, DDS
Jason Oberhand D.D.S. graduated from Lehigh University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Science and Resource Management. In 1998 he graduated from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery Degree. Dr. Oberhand has served in the United States Air Force holding the rank of captain. He completed an Advanced Education in the General Dentistry Residency Program while in the Air Force, stationed at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska. He served 2 additional years of active duty in the Air Force at McConnell Air Force Base in Kansas where he served as base officer in charge of preventive dentistry. Following his Air Force experience he worked in private practice in Hayville, Kansas for 1 year and in Bridgeport, CT for 8 years. Dr. Oberhand is a member of the American Dental Association, The Connecticut State Dental Association, The Bridgeport Dental Association, and The Academy of General Dentistry. In 2014, Dr. Oberhand became a Fellow of the AGD and will receive his Mastership in the summer of 2016.the Academy of General Dentistry. He is an active lecturer of dental and oral health at local schools and senior citizen centers.
