About Janine Allen, Tattoo Specialist

Dr. Janine “Jae” Allen is the CEO of The Wax Den and Jae Permanent Makeup, a licensed cosmetologist, esthetics educator & consultant for the last seven years. Her interest in beauty started in 1994 when she obtained her cosmetology license and worked in several Northern Jersey salons. She became an elementary teacher in 2002. In 2005 and 2010 she successfully earned a masters and a doctorate degree in Educational Leadership, with a focus on servant leadership. Ultimately, her education surpassed her experience, leaving her overeducated and unqualified for a leadership position. It was her next endeavor that would bring her the most success in life. In 2012, determined to lead and empower others, Dr. Allen opened her own unisex, full-body waxing studio where she still continues to work, while giving back by educating and training other professionals on the fundamentals of waxing. Her product line has been used in her own waxing studio to insure the best quality products for all waxing services. With 23 years under her belt and 7 years as an esthetic educator, Jae brings a unique edge to the waxing world. ""The Wax Den Diva"" trains staff to use a gentle and efficient touch all while providing an extremely fast-wax technique. In 2016, Jae opened Jae Permanent Makeup, to provide permanent makeup services to her existing Wax Den clientele as well as many new clients who rely on her expertise for solutions to thinning hair and brows, areola pigmentation, lip contouring and scar camouflage. Dr. Allen’s passion and commitment to helping others maintain beauty and confidence is simply phenomenal!
