About James Mchenry, DDS

Dr. James McHenry, D.D.S., an extensively experienced and highly skilled dentist, is regarded by many as a leader in the field of cosmetic dentistry. Known for his outstanding clinical skills, combined with professionalism and an artistic vision, Dr. McHenry makes his patients his top priority. Dr. McHenry's formal education and training are second to none. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan one year early, allowing him to enroll at the University of Detroit’s Dental School, where he was younger than most of his fellow students. He graduated from the university’s dental school in 1980. Dr. McHenry, who was born and raised in a pleasant suburb just west of Detroit, chose Plymouth, Mich., as the home for his new practice, Dental Arts. He was drawn to the small-town feel of this friendly community. Dedicated to keeping his skills current, Dr. McHenry completed extensive continuing education coursework after he graduated from dental school. These courses included intensive, hands-on cosmetic dentistry, taught by instructors from the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Courses also included advanced courses in dental implants at the renowned Misch Implant Institute. Dr. McHenry is a graduate of the Nash Cosmetic Institute and he has earned a number of certifications for his mastery of F.O.R.C.E. (Faculty for Orthodontic Research and Continuing Education) braces. His professional dental industry memberships include the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the Michigan Dental Association. Dr. McHenry is also a fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and the American Society of Osseointegration. For over 30 years, Dr. McHenry has treated those in need of extensive cosmetic treatment, dental implants and orthodontic care using the latest dental techniques and technology to obtain life-changing results.
