About James T. Gavrilos, DDS
After practicing in the western suburbs for 11 years, Dr. Gavrilos moved his practice close to home in Barrington. Dr. Gavrilos is a well-respected authority in cosmetic dentistry. He is an active member in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and serves on the board for the American Equilibration Society. As the only accredited cosmetic dentist in the Barrington area, Dr. Gavrilos’ background offers patients the unique opportunity to have beautiful aesthetic restorations while keeping within the laws of anatomy-based occlusion. Dr. Gavrilos has been trained by some of the most renowned instructors at the Misch International Implant Institute, the Dawson Academy, the Kois Center, Spear Education, as well as the Pankey Institute. He is also active in the Dawson/Pankey study club for Dupage County. Dr. Gavrilos earned his DDS degree from Loyola University in 1989. He immediately started TMJ and occlusal studies at the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Education. After completing the entire curriculum, he has continued participating in research studies on TMJ disease and their causes.
