About James Dow, DMD
Dr. James Dow is originally from Belfast, Maine. He graduated in 1984 from Southern CT State University with a B.S. in Biology. He then continued his education at the University of CT School of Dental Medicine where he received his Doctorate Degree in 1989. Dr. Dow did an Externship for Oral Maxillofacial Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Hospital. He then worked as an associate in private practice and taught at the University of Connecticut Dental School for a few years. In 1991, he opened his doors in Wallingford, CT located at 341 North Colony Rd. James Dow, DMD Family Dentistry then moved its location in 2002 to 181 North Main St. Wallingford, where it exists today. Dr. Dow served with Connecticut Army and Air National Guard earlier in his career. Dr. Dow is married, resides in Wallingford, and has two sons currently serving in the United States Marine Corps. He has been a passionate boater for many years and travels with family and friends throughout Long Island Sound and beyond.
