About James Atchison, DMD
Dr. James Atchison is a native of Southern Illinois. After graduating from DePauw University with his undergraduate degree, he went on to receive his D.M.D. from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. After serving in the U.S. Navy Dental Corps., Dr. Atchison established a private practice in Webster Groves. In 2006, Dr. Atchison relocated his practice to the Landings Plaza, where he has been practicing general dentistry ever since. Dr. Atchison stays current on all the latest technology available through yearly continuing education conferences, allowing him to provide the best possible care to his patients. Dr. Atchison and his wife, Jan, live in the surrounding area and are the proud parents of two sons. Their oldest son, Dr. Craig Atchison, practices general dentistry alongside him here at Atchison Family Dental. Their youngest son, Kevin Atchison, is currently enrolled in the nurse anesthesia Master's program at MUSC in Charleston, South Carolina. An avid Cardinal fan, Dr. Atchison also enjoys tennis, golf and piano. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Missouri Dental Association, and the Greater St. Louis Dental Society.
