About Jackie West, Aesthetician Specialist
After graduating with a degree in Fashion Merchandising from East Carolina University in North Carolina, Jackie attended the Make-up Designory (MUD) in New York City. Upon receiving her license she did make-up and hair for photoshoots, short films including the award winning "The Masterpiece", sit-com pilot ""Something About Ryan"", and for Mara Hoffman during fall fashion week 2008. She also interned on the Golden Globe and Oscar nominated film, ""The Messenger"" starring Ben Foster and Woody Harrelson. After about a year in NYC, Jackie missed the warm southern weather and moved to Charleston, SC where she did make-up for numerous weddings and photoshoots. Jackie continued her education at the Academy of Nails and Esthetics and and recieved her Esthetician's license in 2011. She currently lives in Charlotte, NC where she owns and operates The Room., a wax and beauty studio in the Dilworth/ Midtown neighborhood. The Room. specializes in hair removal and facials as well as make up artistry.
