About Hema K. Chapala, DDS

Dr. Hema K. Chapala (D.D.S) has spent many years in the Dental profession. Dr. Chapala received his Bachelor’s in Dental Surgery in India in 2001. After his graduation he did a 1-year internship to receive additional experience. He also received a Master’s degree in Oral & Maxillo-facial Surgery in 2006 from one of the best universities in India. After working as an Assistant Professor for a short while in India, he moved to the US in 2007 to receive additional training.He is passionate to work with senior citizens and elderly people in the community. His constant drive to educate and succeed, helped him to receive a Master’s degree in Applied Gerontology in 2009 from Ball State University, Indiana. He received his DDS from the prestigious University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles in 2011. He is a proud member of the Trojan family. Dr. Chapala was the recipient of Jack Sunbye Memorial Scholarship (given for leadership role, academic excellence and volunteering) at University Of Southern California School of Dentistry given by The Members of Zeta Chapter, Omicron Kappa Upsilon, honorary dental fraternity, 2011. His name also appeared in Dean’s list several times at USC Ostrow School of Dentistry. After graduation he started working in few private offices in DFW area, before deciding to start his own dental office in Desoto, Texas. He attends continuing education courses to add knowledge to his already impressive resume. Dr. Chapala offers cosmetic, restorative and implant dentistry. Dr. Chapala takes pride in practicing pain free dentistry for his patients. So he attended continuing education courses on I.V. Sedation at University of Southern California, Los Angeles. Dr. Chapala got certified for administering Intra-venous sedation (I.V Sedation) in Texas in 2011. Anyone who wants to achieve a strong minimum-hassle bite, dazzling smile and pearly white teeth comes to see him because he is not only a dentist who can take care of cleaning your teeth and repairing cavities, crowns and bridges and much more but also all are accomplished with convenient and practical solutions. He enjoys all dentistry including full mouth restorations through to crown and bridge work. Dr. Chapala is well known amongst his colleagues as a man of character and standing. Dr. Chapala’s patients know him as a man of knowledge and care. He has an ongoing commitment to special areas of interest which are cosmetic dentistry and complex dental rehabilitation. He is a member of the ADA (American Dental Association), Texas Dental Association and Fort Worth Dental Association. He loves to spend time with his wife and daughter during his free time. He also serves in the US ARMY RESERVES.
