About Hazel J. Vernon, MD
Dr. Hazel Vernon was the first practicing dermatologist in Central Virginia to earn pediatric dermatology board certification status and has been an integral part of Commonwealth Dermatology since 1989. She is recognized by her peers as a Top Doc in Dermatology by Richmond Magazine and Virginia Living Magazine. Dr. Vernon maintains her edge in the field by regularly providing training to residents from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine’s Department of Dermatology and giving lectures on pediatric dermatology at regional and national conferences. Current board certifications include the American Board of Dermatology for general dermatology and pediatric dermatology.
