About Grigorios A. Lamaris, MD
A native of Athens, Greece, Dr. Grigorios Lamaris earned his MD and PhD degrees from the University of Crete School of Health Sciences. He completed a post-doctoral fellowship in infectious diseases and infection control at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, a residency in general surgery at UT Health San Antonio Medical School, a fellowship in plastic and reconstructive surgery at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation, a fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at the State University of New York at Stoney Brook and a fellowship in microvascular reconstruction at MD Anderson. Dr. Lamaris, who has been in practice since 2005, is board certified in general surgery as well as plastic and reconstructive surgery. His clinical interests include all types of reconstructive plastic surgery, extremity reconstruction, hand surgery and complex microsurgical reconstruction. An associate professor of plastic and reconstructive surgery at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth), Dr. Lamaris has a strong interest in research. He has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals, presented his work at national and international conferences and co-authored several book chapters on reconstruction and hand surgery.
