About Grace Bandow, MD

Grace Bandow, MD graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1997, and then returned to her home in Madison, Wisconsin, where she received her medical degree with Alpha Omega Alpha honors from The University of Wisconsin. She completed her dermatology residency training at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, where she was awarded the Resident of the Year Teaching Award in 2007. She finished additional training in a psoriasis and clinical trials research fellowship at University of California, San Francisco, as well as a Dermatopathology Fellowship from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. She treats patients of all ages, with a particular interest in nutrition, lifestyle, and stress management as signifiant factors affecting our skin and overall health. She will pay special attention to your individual needs and interests as she gets to know you through addressing both your medical and aesthetic concerns. Her interest in serving those with skin disease extends beyond her local community. She has been involved in global medical mission work since 2014. She was integral to the development of the Vaseline Healing Project, which has been providing medications, education, and medical care to millions worldwide who are affected by poverty, natural disaster and conflict. Her work providing medical relief to refugees of the Syrian Civil War has been featured in Oprah Magazine, Marie Claire, and The Washington Post. She’s always up for new challenge, especially when a humanitarian cause is involved, winning the 2016 People’s Choice Award in Dancing With the Doctors of Rhode Island, raising funds for Hospice. She is Board Certified in Dermatology and Dermatopathology, is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and serves on the Advisory Board for Direct Relief.
