About Glen S. Spencer, DDS

Dr. Glenn Spencer, aesthetic and restorative dentist, is a native of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, where he has been offering exceptional patient care to his hometown community for over 30 years. After completing his undergraduate studies at Michigan State University in 1971, Dr. Spencer went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 1975. Following that, he returned to the Birmingham/ Bloomfield Hills area, where he has practiced in the community as a general and cosmetic dentist ever since. As a part of his commitment to offering the best of emerging new technologies and techniques, Dr. Spencer attends regular continuing education courses to keep his skills up-to-date. He concentrates his studies in the areas of smile makeovers and aesthetic, or ideal, dentistry. With a commitment to long-term solutions, Dr. Spencer has focused in the area of implant restoration giving patients exceptional care and incredible aesthetic results. Dr. Spencer is a regular member of the Vedder Society, a crown and bridge study group, as well as the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association, and the Oakland County Dental Society. In 2009, Dr. Spencer turned his many years of experience in educating and training dental assistants into a formal school called the Michigan Dental Assistant Academy (MDAA). With the help of his Team, the school has successfully educated and trained over 20 new dental assistants. He personally teaches several of the classes to ensure the quality results he has enjoyed over the years with the many individuals he has instructed. He even hired an MDAA student for his own Team! The school has seen great achievements during its first year and will continue down its current path of success. Dr. Spencer has a passion for people and gives generously of time and resources to helping those in need of exceptional oral care. He participates in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry’s amazing program for survivors of intimate partner violence called Give Back A Smile. Additionally, Dr. Spencer spends hours working with each of his patients educating them on the benefits of regular oral care taking the time to show his care and concern. In his spare time, he participates in a variety of physical fitness activities – even completing the challenging 2009 Chicago Triathlon. Dr. Spencer has a soft spot for animals, especially dogs. He regularly gives to animal rescue, adoption, and foster care organizations. Dr. Glenn Spencer lives in the community with his wife of over 30 years, Carol. They have two grown children, their son, Bradley, and daughter, Jill.
