About Glen M. Bowen, MD
Glen M. Bowen, MD specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer. At the Huntsman Cancer Institute, Dr. Bowen is the clinical director of the Multidisciplinary Cutaneous Oncology Program and collaborates with physicians in plastic surgery, otolaryngology (ear, nose, and throat), surgical oncology, radiation oncology, and medical oncology to provide a coordinated treatment plan for all forms of skin cancer. He is board certified in dermatology and fellowship trained in Mohs micrographic surgery, a form of surgery with very high cure rates for skin cancer while minimizing the size of the surgical defects. He has special expertise in treating melanoma of the face, scalp, and neck and is actively involved in research to decrease the surgical consequences of treating melanoma.
