About George T. Moynihan, MD

For nearly three decades, Dr. George Moynihan, M.D. has been one of Chicago’s premier facial plastic surgeons, leading complex facial reconstructive surgeries and correcting a broad spectrum of cosmetic and medical concerns in diverse patients. Founder of Chicago facial plastic surgery center, Gold Coast Plastic Surgery, Dr. Moynihan is dedicated to ensuring his patients have a safe, comfortable, and pleasant experience, and helping them achieve beautiful, natural-looking results. A graduate of SUNY Buffalo medical school cum laude and member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honors Society, Dr. Moynihan has cultivated and refined a broad spectrum of surgical techniques for facial enhancement and reconstruction throughout his long career. With extensive surgical training centered entirely upon medical disorders of the structures of the head and neck, Dr. Moynihan is viewed by his peers as being a facial reconstruction leader and an expert in performing a multitude of intricate facial surgeries. In addition to his role as medical director at Gold Coast Plastic Surgery, Dr. Moynihan is a clinical assistant professor at Loyola University Medical Center and Rush University Medical Center. Dr. Moynihan is double board certified by The American Board of Otolaryngology and The American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ABFPRS). Certification by the ABFPRS is widely recognized as being one of medicine’s most challenging professional achievements and a hallmark of clinical excellence.
