About George Bandelac, DDS

Dr. George Bandelac is a Board Certified Periodontist; he received dual dental degrees from Rene Descartes University, Paris, France (Summa Cum Laude), and from University of Detroit Mercy, Detroit, MI. He also received a dual postdoctoral training: Prosthodontics and Implantology at the Rene Descartes University in Paris, France and Periodontics-Implantology at the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Dental Medicine. Before relocating to the United States, Dr. Bandelac practiced dentistry in Paris, France for 23 years. During that time he owned his own practice and over those years evolved from general dentistry into Prosthodontics, Implant Dentistry and finally Periodontics. For the past three years, Dr. Bandelac served as an Associate Clinical Professor in the Departments of Periodontics and Prosthetics at the University of Detroit Mercy. He has published articles and has given lectures nationally and internationally. Dr. Bandelac devotes now his full time to private practice. As a recognized leader in the field of dental esthetics, Dr. Bandelac brings a wealth of innovation to our practice. His areas of expertise include multidisciplinary protocols: Dentofacial Esthetics, Dental Implants, Fixed and Removable Prosthetics, and Periodontal Procedures which include: Periodontal Plastic Surgery, Cosmetic Dental Implants and Advanced Bone Grafting Procedures. He is Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Board of Periodontology, and the American Academy of Osseointegration, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. As an experienced and well seasoned General Dentist, Dr. George Bandelac works with a large variety of treatments for all ages pertaining to oral health concerns and common symptoms. Proactive and preventative care for everyone is paramount to like routine cleanings, and regularly scheduled appointments to preserve your current oral health and well being. Dr. George Bandelac also feels that regular cleanings as well as the removal of plaque, calculus and other bacteria are very important in the different stages of tooth and gum development. During this time, checking for initial cases of Caries, or “Cavities” on a routine basis, is crucial.
