About Gehaan F. D’Souza, MD

Dr. Gehaan D’Souza is a dedicated board certified plastic surgeon who utilizes his exceptional surgical expertise and calming demeanor to put patients at ease. His outstanding bedside manner gives his patients the confidence that they will receive the highest quality of surgical care. Dr. D’Souza focuses in aesthetic surgery of the face, nose, breast, body and migraine surgery. He is well-regarded for both his meticulous nature and for the individualized attention, care and time that he personally devotes to each one of his surgery patients. Dr. D’Souza also holds an appointment at the University of California San Diego to provide breast cancer reconstruction for the Northern San Diego region. A valedictorian and a graduate from Johns Hopkins University with a Bachelor of Science Degree, Dr. D’Souza then earned his Medical Doctor Degree from the School of Medicine at the University of California, Irvine. He proceeded to complete both his General Surgery and Plastic Surgery residency training from the University of Nebraska and the University of California, San Diego which are considered by many to be the premier training programs in the country. Following his training in San Diego, Dr. D’Souza completed an additional elective fellowship in Aesthetic Surgery at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic. Dr. D’Souza has worked to develop new surgical techniques, and has published his findings with world-renowned innovators in facial aging, breast cancer reconstruction, microsurgery, and rhinoplasty. His journal articles can be found in the Journal of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the Aesthetic Surgery Journal, Annals of Plastic Surgery, and the famed New England Journal of Medicine. He has also presented his work at the Plastic Surgery Research Council, the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the California Society of Plastic Surgeons.
