His post graduate residency training was at the Yale-New Haven Hospital where he served as a resident in general surgery and then plastic surgery. He was Chief Resident in General Surgery at Yale from 1982 to 1983, and Chief Resident in Plastic Surgery from 1984 to 1985. He has participated in multiple volunteer trips to developing countries to perform surgery on children with facial and hand deformities. Recently Dr. Price was named as president of the Physicians Foundation, a national foundation seeking to improve the quality of healthcare.
