About Eric Y. Kit Li, MD
Dr. Eric Li as an associate to our plastic surgery practice in San Jose. He is certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and has completed 2 prestigious aesthetic surgery fellowships. Dr. Li specializes in cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery and has a special interest in the aesthetic improvement of the Asian face. It didn't take Dr. Li long after entering medical school to choose plastic surgery as the specialty he wanted to pursue. No other surgical field, he says, offered the unique marriage of artistry, problem-solving, and technical mastery. He sees plastic surgery as a way to provide patients with personalized care and outcomes that can boost their confidence and change the way they look at themselves. That may occur by helping a woman who wants breast reconstruction after a mastectomy, performing skin cancer surgery in a way that minimizes scarring, or removing excess breast tissue for a young man suffering from gynecomastia. Dr. Li's path to our practice, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Associates, where he joins board-certified plastic surgeon and founder, Dr. Vincent Lepore, began in Toronto and continued through Michigan and Australia. A native of Hong Kong, Dr. Li grew up in suburban Toronto, and he earned his medical degree from the Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine at McMaster University in Ontario, Canada. He then completed his plastic surgery residency at McMaster, followed by aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery fellowships in Michigan and Melbourne, Australia.
